Visit to the ZOO

One of our favorite places to enjoy a day off is the nearby zoo. The park is a real oasis in the center of Lima. The park has hundreds of animals, many native to Peru. Their is also a beautiful aviary with hundreds of birds. You aviary is filled with all types of plants and trees and the birds fly freely around you. On our last visit we enjoyed watching the monkeys atempt to get food out of plastic drink bottles. The girls roared with laughter as they watched the little critters playfully search for food.

Perhaps the best part of the zoo for children is the gigantic playground. There are dozens of swings, slides and monkey bars. Elizabeth generally wants to rush through the zoo to spend most of her time playing! Olivia takes it all in from the relaxing seat of her stroller. (Now, if we could only find someone to push us around in a stroller for the afternoon!)

Hey Poe family...it was good to find your blog (through the Waldock's blog) and see all your pics. Tali liked seeing herself on there with Elizabeth in the camp pics! We will enjoy checking back often to see new pics. Saludos a todos.
