On April 4th, Elizabeth turned six years old. It seems like yesterday we were pulling up to the hospital in Edinburg, Texas for her birth. It is hard to believe that our little baby is growing up! For weeks Elizabeth counted down the days until her birthday. She could hardly wait to turn six and be a big girl.
This year Elizabeth managed to have two birthday parties. Her first party was at home with all of us, including her grandparents visiting from Virginia. We decorated the kitchen with balloons and streamers and had a fun time opening gifts. Then a week later she had a combined party at the home of her best friend, Naomi. Naomi turned seven, and they enjoyed a "Dora the Explorer" party. The weather was warm and we even played water balloon games. Their school is so small, that the entire elementary school was invited! Now the countdown starts for Elizabeth again. "How many more days until my birthday?"
