We feel so blessed to live on the coast. We have always loved the beach and the ocean. Yet, we rarely take the time to go to the beach. During a recent visit with my parents we took a day at the beach. It would be Olivia's first time in Peru. She loved the ocean breeze and playing in the sand. She seemed a bit cautious about the water and stayed away. We finally walked her down and laughed as she gasped because of the cold water. She seemed content to head back up the beach to play in the sand.
We have a family tradition of "dipping" the girls feet in the water when they are young. Their baby books are filled with dates and the places where they "first" went into the water. Both of our girls have now enjoyed at least a quick dip in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Some how I think we enjoy it more than they do!
